Step Fourteen: Your First Bra And How To Wear It Without Showing

Welcome to step fourteen of your Pink Femme 40 step program. How did it feel when you looked in the mirror and saw your new cleavage?

What makes step 14 so special is that you have now crossed into the second trimester of the program. Well done to you for being brave enough to keep going.

The task for this week can be very scary for many new girls. This is especially true for those of you who have not yet come out as who you feel on the inside and are trying to still keep this part of you a secret.

I understand how you feel which is why I have a plan for making the whole experience much less stressful.

In general, there are two things that make it very clear to all those around you that you are wearing a bra – especially under your work clothes or light shirt. Those are the distinctive outline of the bra straps and the back clasp fastener.

Choosing to wear a strapless bra can take care of showing bra straps, but strapless bras usually have bigger and therefore more visible back fastening clasps.

Before we get into not only my solution for you and what your task for the week will be, the first part of step 14 will be to learn more about bras. To make this easier for you, I have written a series of posts to help you learn what you need to know. These are important as they will make the rest of the task more understandable.

So to be clear, phase one of step 14 is to read each of these different posts about bras so that you can learn more about these very important items of clothing.

Now that you have finished reading about different bras and how to take care of your bras, you are ready to move onto choosing your first bra. First a question. Have you managed to work out yet what will be the best bra to choose is you want to hide the fact that you are wearing a bra completely?

This may be especially important to you if you work in an office environment there your bra may become visible through an office shirt especially when you are leaning forward over a desk. This could be a problem if you are not yet ready to come out to your coworkers as a girl.

Normally I would say that choosing a flesh colored bra will help you to not show your bra. However, even a flesh color bra will not hide the telltale outline of bra straps over your shoulders and across your back.

Therefore you will need a different strategy. What I have in mind is choosing the color white for your bra, which will make it clearly visible through your office shirt. Before you run away in panic, remember that I have a plan that will work for you.

If you need to be completely secret about wearing your bra my recommendation is that you wear a sports bra. More than that, it should be a pullover sports bra so that you won’t need to struggle with a back clasp that will show through your clothes anyway.

To be more specific, your best choice of bra that you want to keep secret will be a tank-style pullover sports bra in white. You then wear a tank-style sleeveless under-vest over your bra and under your work shirt.

What you will see is that the wider shoulder straps of your bra will be about the same width is the straps of your under vest. That means that your bra straps will be hidden by your vest. Choosing white as the color your bra straps will be the same color as your vest. This means your bra will be hidden in plain sight and you won’t need to worry about anyone seeing your bra straps.

To make life easier for you, I have put together a collection of tank-style pullover sports bras that are available on Amazon. These bras all have shoulder straps that are the same width as what your tank-style under-vest has. Follow this link to get to the page that has the fabulous tank-style sports bras for you.

Now that you have your new bra, here is your task that you need to complete for step 14. You need to wear your bra for 7 whole days. The good news is that those 7 days do not need to be consecutive days. You are allowed to choose which will be your bra days. However, you are limited to a maximum of 4 bra days being on weekends or holidays.

A bra day counts if you wear your bra for the whole day from when you get dressed for your day until you get undressed for bed. Girls, we do not sleep in our bra. I will be writing a post soon to explain why. Obviously, if you are taking a bath or shower during the day for some reason you will take your bra off.

You will wear your bra all the time that you are dressed on a bra day. If you need to remove your bra from under your clothes for any reason during your bra day, that day will not count and you will need to add a new bra day to your list.

Be sure to check back in with this step from time to time even after you have completed it and moved on. That is because I will be linking my new posts that I write about bras into the list above.

You will be able to mark step 14 as complete when you have completed your seventh bra day.

Remember to comment below and tell us how it feels to be wearing your bra for a whole day. Does it feel different to how it used to feel when you just played dress up for a short while?

  1. I love the feel of my bra. The ones I wear to work snaps in the front but if I’m out as a girl then it don’t bother me to much so I just tend to be the girl that I am.

  2. I recommend having a bra fitting by a professional. Although I live in a small town, I did a search for ” fitting” and found a local shop that offered that service. The fitter recommended an Amoena mastectomy bra which has openings for inserts in whatever size you choose. I wear inserts by Transform in their smallest size for spring and summer under tops and tees. In the winter, I can use larger ones under sweaters.
