You’re Full of It!

I am full of girliness. And, I’m pretty sure that you are too just going by the fact that you are here reading this. Personally, I see nothing wrong with being full of girliness. It is who we are on the inside.

I know that many of you are not able to fully live out your girly life to the extent that you really want to. However, I’m sure that you can find some small way to express the girly part of who you are – even if you are the only one who knows. Hugs.

Expressing one’s feminine being is a practice in self-care.  It’s not always the most accepted, but I believe that when it can be expressed openly and safely, it renders any girly-inclined boy a release from stereotype oppression.  Any amount of stress can wear on a person who keeps a secret.  It’s not healthy.  If you are a boy and you are filled with any bit of girliness, you should find some way to express it–and not just in your secret hiding place.  Instead of an individual private place, you need a safe space with a safe person.

A space to be girly is so much easier than finding that safe person.  But when you find him/her with whom to share yourself, you’ll find fuller meaning to your own being.  Maybe you’ll find that person somewhere.  It might mean taking some risks, but if you’re willing to take them, it’s possible to find the right person.

I’ve been lucky enough that my person is my wife.  I was also lucky enough that it was not a great risk for me because of who she is.  Granted, I might not be able to express myself fully with her or around her, but she does recognize my girly side and tolerates it.  And yes, she knows that I would take it further than she’d like if she’d let me.  She has boundaries and I respect them because she is my safe person and she gives me my safe space.

Now, as per the caption, I don’t know that I could say that I’m full of girliness.  Some people would say that I’m full of “$#!+”  But that’s not my problem.  Yet, what girliness there is within me, I’m better off physically and mentally for being able to express it.  I wish the same for you too, if not now, sometime with your safe person in a safe place.

So, here’s to hoping that you will be able to express your femininity!  And if it doesn’t come to you soon, however, be patient in your circumstances and with yourself.

Cheers!

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
