Step 29: Learn To Walk In Heels


Welcome to step 29 of your 40-steps to femme program. You will remember that way back in steps 11, 20, 22, and 24 you learned how to walk elegantly like a lady. I hope that you have been practicing each week and that you are now able to walk/stand/sit elegantly as well as get in and out of cars without any mishaps.

We will now take what you learned in those steps and add heels to your repertoire.

Many girls into really high heels too early before they have learned to move gracefully. It makes moving elegantly in heels way more difficult.

It is more efficient to layer new skills on top of what you have done before. It is how the whole 40-Steps process is structured. Each new step prepares you to be able to cope with the upcoming steps.

A woman can carry a bag, but it is the shoe that carries the woman.

The good news for all you girls is that we get to go shopping as part of this step – especially if you are new to wearing heels.

Curated Shoe Shopping List For Girls Of Different Skill Levels

For the most part, I have chosen neutral colors so that the shoes can be matched with nearly any outfit that you have. You are welcome to choose different colors but remember that you could be limiting yourself to the number of outfits in your closet that will work with your new shoes.

Essential Reading For Step 29

These articles are the essential reading for step 29. You may recall seeing a few of them before because they cover some of the skills you will need to apply when walking in heels. There are quite a few articles to read as there is a lot to learn so that you can be elegant in your heels.

Your Task For Step 29

Once you have completed all your essential reading it will be time for some shopping. If you are still shy, you can choose yourself a pair of heels from the collection on Amazon that I listed above.

Alternatively, you can go shopping at a shoe store and ask the assistant for help.

Never underestimate the power of a pair of heels and a little red lipstick.

Life Travelled In Stilettos

If you choose the shoe store option you are to try on at least five pairs of heels in different heights and styles, walking in them in the store so that the assistant can help you choose the pair that is best suited to your high heels skill level.

Once you have your new heels you are to practice in your heels daily. You are to walk a minimum of 2000 steps per day in your heels, preferably over 5000 steps.

Practice walking, standing, sitting down, and getting up from a chair. Every time you stand in your heels it will be with the model’s T-stance that you learned in your essential reading for step-29. Practice stepping away from the stance correctly as well as turning/changing direction.

When practicing make at least 100 of your steps each day walking while balancing a book on your head.

I am sure that you already know that there is more to being girly than can be crammed into just 40 steps. This is especially so when we start adding beauty products, makeup, and fashion choices into the collection.

That is why it is vital for your growing girly education that you will be required to read at least one additional Pink Femme post each day.

While doing your additional reading each day, make a note of which articles you found the most useful and why.

Remember to share your favorite Pink Femme articles on your girly Pinterest profile as well as other social media platforms where you have a girly profile. That way we can all inspire more people to be girly.

Minimum Requirement For Completion

As you can guess, being able to walk in heels elegantly while looking relaxed is a vital skill for your girly confidence. When you look nervous and insecure it is easier to get outed.

Therefore, your minimum requirement for completing step 29 will be to practice walking in your new heels every day for at least 14 consecutive days.

On each of those days, you will be required to walk at least 2000 steps with 100 of those steps balancing a book on your head.

You are to practice your model’s T-stance at least 5 times each day and practice sitting down in a chair and getting up from the chair elegantly 5 times each day as well.

You have additional tasks to show that you have been doing your additional reading that is now part of each new step.

Twice during each week, ideally on a Thursday and a Sunday, you are to select your favorite article from your additional reading and share it on your girly Pinterest page, explaining what it is about the article that you like or found useful for your girly education. When you pin your favorite article on Pinterest, use the header picture from the article as your pin or another picture from the article that is Pink Femme branded.

Once you get to the end of 14 consecutive days of wearing your girly perfume and writing in your feelings journal every single day, as well as sharing your favorite articles on social platforms twice a week, you will be allowed to mark this step as complete.

Consequences Of Not Meeting The Minimum Requirements

Step 29 is a step that requires a lot of practice, hence the consequences are geared around giving you more practice so that you can refine your style while wearing heels. There are a number of ways that it is possible to fall short of the minimum requirements for completing this step and each of them will carry consequences of increasing severity.

If on any one day you fail to complete your 2000 steps total, or your 100 steps with a book on your head, or your model’s T-stance, or sitting down/standing up from a chair you will have failed to complete the task for that day.

The consequence of this is that you will be required to repeat that day before moving on. For example, if on day 8 of 14 you fail to complete the minimum requirements for day 8, you will repeat day 8 until you do. You can only move on to day 9 if you have completed day 8 in full.

People walk differently in high heels. Your body sways to a different kind of tempo.

If during the 14 days you skip a day it means that you no longer have consecutive days of practicing in your heels.

The consequence of this is that you will restart step 29, in other words, restart from day 1. What’s more, you will have 3 penalty days added to your target for completion so if you have to restart, it will be for 17 days instead of 14 days. If you are forced to restart a second time it will be for 20 days, and so on.

If you skip on the social sharing of your favorite Pink Femme articles, you will be required to share an extra 2 articles for each one you skipped, including one article on a social media platform that is not Pinterest.

Never let anyone who doesn’t wear fabulous shoes tell you how to live your life.
