How To Easily Remove Toenail Polish

There is something about having painted toenails that feels summery to me. Once you start painting your toenails regularly you will find that unfortunately, nail polish doesn’t last forever. Sooner or later one or more toenails will have scuffed or chipped nail polish. Either clean and repaint the one nail or use the opportunity to redo all your toenails in a different color.

Place a piece of cotton wool soaked with nail polish remover on the nail you wish to clean and press lightly for 10 seconds. Gently wipe off the nail polish in a base to the tip of the nail motion. Check the grooves and free edge of the nail residual polish before moving on to the next nail.

Luckily the process of cleaning the polish from your chipped or scuffed nail can be done in seconds. That means you can repaint the toenail and it will dry in the time it takes you to do your hair and makeup. Let’s take a look at the simple process to remove nail polish from your toenails.

Keep reading to the end for the genius hack for removing nail polish from a toenail without ruining the polish on your fingernails.

What You Need For Toenail Polish Removal

  • Nail Polish Remover
  • Cotton Balls/ Wool/ Pads
  • Orangewood Stick/cue tips

Removing Nail Polish From Your Toenails

Take a piece of cotton wool or a cotton ball and soak it with wool with a generous amount of nail polish remover.

Place the soaked cotton wool on the whole nail plate and hold it for 10 seconds, pressing gently.

Next, wipe off the nail polish. Do this by moving the cotton wool in a base to tip of nail motion.

Wipe the grooves of your toenail as well as underneath the free edge of the nail to make sure you remove all the nail polish. You can do this by either holding the soaked cotton wool over the end of your orangewood stick or by soaking a cue tip in nail polish remover.

If I’m cleaning the polish from all my nails, I’ll do clean the nail of my big toe first as it has deeper grooves and is a bit fiddly. Once the nail of my big toe is clean, I’ll fold over that same piece of soaked cotton wool and use it on the rest of my nails.

Hack: How To Remove Toenail Polish Without Ruining Your Fingernail Polish

Instead of using a piece of cotton wool or cotton ball which you have to hold with your fingers and get nail polish remover on your fingernails, use a tampon in its applicator instead.

By soaking the tip of a tampon in nail polish remover and holding it by the applicator you will be able to remove your toenail polish without removing your fingernail polish. This will keep your precious manicure far away from the nail polish remover and save you a lot of anguish.
