My Feminine Path

We all have our own paths that we navigate through life. Mine is a feminine path and I’m sure that most of you have a feminine path too. Your path won’t look anything like either mine or that of Candace – and that is completely ok.

As Candace mentions in her blog post, your path does not need to have a specific endpoint or goal date. Being focused on something in the possibly distant future takes away from being fully present where you are right now in your girly process and fully experiencing the girly feelings in your body today. Hugs.

This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.

Have you ever tried figuring out where all of your girliness is leading?  I know that I have.  I know where it’s not going.  I know that it will never lead me to transitioning to be a girl, but I also know that it won’t lead me back into a suppressed manly mentality.  Unlike some of you who have a path laid out to achieve the ultimate goal of transition, my path is less committed.  But I still have a path.

I plan to live my life in as much girliness as I can while also being committed to my family and to our security.  This can be tricky, but it’s the road that I have to travel.  I intend to become girlier in my processes and movements.  I intend to wear women’s clothing by slowly developing a wardrobe that is more androgynous and less manly.  It won’t be blatantly obvious as a woman’s wardrobe, but I intend the clothes to be women’s.  My path involves being softer in voice, more feminine in stance, and girlier in demeanor.  I don’t really have a timeline.  I don’t have a goal-setting date.  It’s actually quite linear, even though I expect some dips and curves along the way.

What does your feminine path look like?  Share with us by commenting below if you’d like.  You don’t have to go into detail, but let’s open up a bit and share.  I have a feeling that we all will discover, not only a wide variety of girly paths, but also many more girly boys than we might have previously thought we related with.

My hope for you today is that your steps will be light, your heart bright, and your loved ones held tight.

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
