How To Create A Cleavage With Makeup?

Whether you have natural breasts, breast implants, hormone replacement therapy, or are just starting to explore your feminine side, learning how to create cleavage with makeup can help with any chest envy you might be feeling. Go shave that chest if you need to and be ready.

How to create a cleavage with makeup?

  1. The first thing to know when creating cleavage out of makeup is Contour.
  2. We can use a blush brush and a bronzer or contour powder between the breasts and around the natural curves at the top to create the appearance of depth.
  3. Next, apply a highlighting powder or cream with a blush brush to the upper half of your breasts and use your bra as a rough guide.
  4. With a bit of blending to hide any rough edges or lines, it should create the illusion of a bigger, fuller chest!

If you’re still with me, you probably want a bit more information to go from. Well don’t worry, hon, I’ve got you covered!

Step By Step

First things first, a more complete rundown of the whole process.

  1. Contouring: Use a contouring powder or bronzer around two shades darker than your skin tone and a blush brush. Start by applying it between your breasts and then creating a sort of Y with your strokes over each breast.
  2. Highlighting: Apply a highlighting cream/powder to the raised portion of your breasts above your bra with a brush and then brush it along the top part of the Y from earlier to create a convincing fake cleavage!
  3. Blend!: For any harsh lines use a brush to smooth the bronzer and highlights in a circular motion. A larger brush will generally look more natural while a smaller brush will make give it a more pronounced line. As with anything dealing with makeup experiment and find what fits your body!

Personal preference is key but stay-away from any white shirts you actually like; you will inevitably end up with makeup smudging and staining it.

Bras. Bras. Bras. (And Pads).

So, your breasts are looking fuller and you’re ready to go out on the town, right? Well, not quite. If you still want some extra volume from your chest the next thing to consider would be buying a bra that helps sell the illusion. I’m talking about push-up bras and/or push-up pads. There are a variety of types and styles to choose from and it really comes down to personal preference what size or style of pushup you buy.

If buying an entire bra is out of the question, the next thing to consider would be bra insertions. These can provide the same benefits as a pushup bra without the constraints of finding a pushup bra that you like since you can wear almost any bra with inserts. Without a doubt, this will help give that cleavage some extra ‘guns’ to really sell that chest of yours.

Stuffing Your Bra.

So perhaps you, for one reason or another, can’t afford a new bra or makeup to make your chest look fuller; what do you do?

Well, as silly as it sounds, stuffing is still a viable option. By using socks (or hand towels), put on the bra you plan to wear on and fold the sock or rag (CLEAN. For the love of God, make sure they’re clean.) so that it is flat.

Now, slide the sock/towel into the bra so that it doesn’t stick out and is comfortable. If you already have a push-up bra this will also help give you an even bigger cup size and the bra will help hide the crime, so to speak.

But Zoe, you proclaim, what if I’m in an emergency; i.e., the thing that was previously stuffing your bra has slipped out and is now gone into the void.

Fear not, with a bit of work even tissue paper can help save that chest of yours! Take a piece of tissue paper, typically around double the size of your cup and fold it in half and slide it into the bra.

While you could do this with larger pieces of tissue paper you will also be more likely to have it bunch up in the bra. Whatever option you end up with, make sure to check yourself in the mirror and either tuck or clip any bits poking out.

Tissue paper should only be used in emergencies due to its absorbency. Never stuff your swimsuit either, it will inevitably fall out while swimming. Rather just buy a swimsuit with pads if you need them.

Chest Flattering Clothing.

Your chest is contoured, highlighted, and blended. You’re wearing a nice bra with or without inserts that give you the size you want. But you’re still standing there topless, let’s fix that.

There are a few things to consider when choosing a top that will accentuate that cleavage of yours. Horizontal lines are your friends! The horizontal lines naturally give the illusion of larger breasts, sort of like an optical illusion, our eyes are weird so let’s use those flaws for our advantage.

Tops with a V-shaped or deep neckline can help expose your cleavage area, helping draw eyes to it. Crop tops are great for drawing eyes to your cleavage and the drape over your breasts will help smaller chests appear larger. Keep in mind that a deeper neckline will accentuate cleavage while a higher neckline will accentuate size with a crop top.

Your top isn’t the only thing that helps your chest look larger either. Wearing high waist bottoms or dresses that cling to your shape will help draw eyes up from the floor and right at that chest of yours.

Never rule out accessories either. A flattering and eye-catching necklace can help pull eyes towards your chest. The closer to the top of your cleavage the better as eyes are more drawn to movement and if it can’t swing it can’t move!

What else can YOU do?

These last few things are things that you will simply need to work on to do their job. All the accessories, bras, and makeup in the world can’t help if your body is working against you.

First up is posture. If you notice you tend to slouch a lot when you sit and walk, try to make a mental reminder to correct this behavior. By keeping your shoulders and back straight which will help push out your chest instead of pulling it in like when you hunch.

Exercise is important and can make a noticeable difference in your chest size. Start with push-ups by doing 5-10 at a time and increasing this over a period of time at a pace you’re comfortable with. You can also do wall push-ups if those work better for you!

Do you have a medicine ball or other heavy and large object you feel comfortable throwing above yourself? Good!

By laying face up on the ground, bend your knees and hold your feet flat on the floor. Hold the ball (or object) above your chest and then toss it into the air as high as you can. Catch the ball with your arms straight and then retracted them back down and repeat. This will help build tissue in your pectorals, giving added girth to your breasts.

If you happen to have dumbbells (or something similar), try doing barbell exercises to achieve the same goal as the medicine ball. All of this will take time, but not only will you be adding to your chest it will help burn calories and keep you slim with all the exercise as well, win-win!

As with anything if your chest starts to hurt or feel uncomfortable while using these tips, LET THEM REST! Pain or irritation is your body telling you somethings wrong. The last thing you want to do is injure the bits you’re trying to improve.

We’ve covered makeup, bras, tops, bottoms, dresses, padding, exercise, and stuffing bras. I hope you learned something today that helps you meet your goals and I can’t wait to find even more information for all of you girls!

Ciao ~ Zoe.
