Wanting to wear a dress or skirt does not make you less of a person, and more importantly, you are not messed up because feeling feminine and pretty makes you happy. Girly is an important part of who you are on the inside.
It is an unfortunate reality that there are many people in the world who believe that the only way that they can feel better about themselves is by bashing others down to an emotional level lower than theirs – people who are so deeply unhappy that they get triggered by someone else being happy. If there is someone in your life who tries to convince you that you are messed up because you have a girly personality, remember that they are reacting from an internal misbelief about the world around them.
From my perspective, you are brave and you have as much of a right to be happy as any other person in the world. You are beautiful in your own way and I love each and every one of you. Hugs.

You’re not a mess just because you want to wear a dress. Plain and simple, you like to be feminine, you like to be pretty, you like to feel like a girl does. So many people would say that we girly boys are perverts, degenerates, misguided, etc….a total mess. And, that doesn’t just come from religious fundamentalists. I have plenty of well-rounded friends who are devoted to their faiths. They cringe over such bigotry, so i know it’s not just religious-minded people.
Anybody who would have you believe that you are “not right” has “nothing left” to be happy about. They either have 1) no idea what it’s like to be true to oneself in spite of societal constraints, or 2) no concept of personal flourishing. They live sad, pessimistic, and grumpy lives. Don’t go believing every whimpering slander against femininity in boys.
So, know this now, my friends: YOU ARE NOT SCREWED UP! I think you’re brave. I think you have courage for believing that you can be girly. Thank you for being you!
Ranting is now over. lol
