You Deserve to Feel Feminine

I am very aware that, unfortunately, there are many girls in the world who are not able to express their girliness outwardly. Often it is because of a partner/family/society that does not understand/accept that girly is an important part of who you are as a person.

Even if you never get to express your girliness outwardly, you can still feel feminine on the inside. Your inner femme feelings are completely normal and valid. There are millions out there who have the same kind of inner feelings every day.

You deserve to feel feminine and your feminine inner feelings deserve to be validated. Every time you do something small that helps you feel feminine, it validates the girl that lives inside you. Nobody on the outside needs to see what you have done that makes you feel feminine. It is enough that you feel it on the inside.

Share below something that is invisible to the outside that helps you feel feminine on the inside. Let’s inspire each other. I’ll go first:

I’m going for a walk today and will be keeping the insides of my elbows facing forward while I walk. It makes my arms swing in a naturally girly way – and is the same way runway models hold their arms. Every time I sit down, I’ll sit up straight with space between me and the back of the chair. Hugs.

This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.

This morning, while it was still dark outside, kids and wife were still in bed, and before the neighbors even thought to hit snooze, I was already in panties, a bra, yoga pants/leggings, a girly tank, and cute sneakers.  That’s my daily routine.  I begin each day, with the exception of the weekend in fem.  I am by no means feminine in physique.  I’m no bodybuilder, but I’m also not built girly.  I’m okay with that because it’s not about looking like a cis-girl for me.  I do it because my feminine spirit deserves to feel feminine.  It deserves love, respect, and some healthy feminine attention.

Deserve?  That might seem like a stretch, but I truly don’t think it is.  I work hard at my job, take care of my family, take care of myself, help others feel respected in their choices for life, etc., etc.  I personally feel like I deserve to be girly during my time and in my space.

I also think that you deserve it too.  It’s not selfish to practice self-care.  It would actually be selfish to hold every little bit of girliness inside of you and never let “her” speak, breathe, move, act, be.  So long as you keep your femininity bottled up, you’re not serving anyone and you’re certainly not helping yourself.  Exercise has given me this release and I trust that it could do the same for you too.  There are obviously other ways of being girly, but being a gym bunny has so many benefits for your physical, mental, and emotional health.  That includes your girly health.

Have a great day!

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
