There are so many ways you can express your girly feelings. Some of my posts and the captions by Candace will resonate with your inner girl while others won’t. If there is content that either of us produces that doesn’t give you the girly feels, that does not diminish your value as a girl at all. It doesn’t mean that you are less girly.
I like flowing midi skirts while other girls like tight micro-minis or jeans. I decide what I like and you are free to decide what you like. Share your favorite girly style, perhaps we can all learn from each other. Hugs
This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.
Permit me to first say how much I love the romper and sandals in this pic! If I could wear this without scorn, I’d be smiling as happy as she is smiling.
I create captions. Sometimes I relate to them. Other times, I don’t. Sometimes it’s more about those who follow my Tumblr. I say this because I don’t personally get into the whole DNA, genetics, chemistry, etc. as to caption above suggests. I don’t, because I’m not qualified nor intellectual enough to make heads or tails of research. What I do trust about myself is some bit of humble wisdom.
When it comes to being feminine, you get to decide. If there is something within you prompting it is not for me to say. Even still, YOU get to decide. The emphasis I make is on YOU. It’s not your wife’s decision (or SO), though if you’re truly committed, she/he should have some input. It’s not your parents’ decision, though it’s possible for them to have some helpful advice. It’s not your friends’ decision, though they certainly could be your strength when you’re emotionally sick with your self-wrestling. It’s your decision. You decide.
There are indeed a lot of myths that revolve around gender and roles. Whatever myth is facing you, you ultimately get to decide what you’re going to do with it. Are you going to let it ruin you or rule you? Perhaps it can help protect you (but that’s for another post). You have to decide all of that. Just don’t let the myths reign over you. YOU are your own Queen–or princess. 😉
