Yes! I’ll Take More!

One of the wonderful parts about being girly is you have an almost limitless choice of outfits that you can wear in a vast array of colors. What’s more, with the right shoes an outfit can be elevated even further.

So it is only logical that we all have the desire to expand our shoe collection. That way we can have the perfect shoes to go with our outfit. Cinderella teaches us that the right shoes can change your life. Hugs.

This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.

For the life of me, I just can’t figure out why I love women’s shoes so much. It’s one of those things, that if I had to choose only one item of women’s clothing for the rest of my life, it would have to be shoes.  It wouldn’t be panties, bras, leggings, dresses, lingerie, etc.  It would be shoes.

Part of me wonders about my childhood.  Maybe there is a conglomeration of events and feelings that have led to this obsession.  My mother would buy me girl’s shoes because of my narrow foot.  My father was once a designer in a shoe factory and always had an interest in nice footwear.

I had a girl cousin who wore the same size shoe as me and we would swap during playdates.  I used to make my own girly sandals out of old insoles (I wasn’t even school age at the time!).  Those are a few things that come to my mind where there might be some explanation.  Whatever it is, I don’t think there is one particular event or reason.  It just seems to be a part of me–a deep part of me.

I have boxes and boxes right now of women’s shoes.  And I want more.  Do you feel that way about a particular article of clothing?  Have you ever tried to “figure it out?”  Please share.

Have a wonderful day, my girly friends!

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
