The Seeds We Sow

There are many who feel shy about stepping out into the world as the girl you were meant to be. Think of each girly thing that you do as planting a seed for the girly boys that will follow.

Without having icons like Jane Birkin, Nan Kempner, and Audrey Hepburn we would not have the examples of feminine elegance to emulate today.

This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.

I would suggest that many of us girlies are sowing seeds in a field, that for many years, has been cultivated and prepared for a great harvest by other spokespeople, activists, and examples.  We are seeing other crops growing and yielding much fruit–and with much “pride”.

But the chance for most men to be feminine, to blossom into the girly boys that they are, is still a seed waiting to sprout.  Yes, we see some exceptions around us.  We certainly cannot miss the number of transitions of boys to girls or girls to boys.  We applaud all of these wonderful people, but I think feminine malehood is still at a crossroads.  Maybe I’m wrong.

So, I simply want to encourage you all how we need to be planters.  Let’s keep sowing the seed, watering it, and waiting patiently.  I trust that someday, some boy will live his life as a feminine man.  He will be a girly boy without anyone to tell him he’s wrong, perverse, or incompatible with society’s norms.

He will be able to wear a dress and heels to work, come home to a loving wife or husband, drink a beer, scratch his balls, and then put on a nightie for bedtime.  Or maybe he will be able to wear a suit during the week and then spend his weekend sunbathing in a cute bikini.  It would be his choice because it’s his life and he is a human being who can make that decision for himself.

Maybe it’s a pipe dream.  Maybe it’s a wet dream! lol.  But it’s still a possibility I hope for.  Even if I don’t ever see it in my lifetime, I can at least put on my last pair of panties and know that I’ve planted the seed that would give some girly boy a better future.

Keep sowing the seed.  And just perhaps, someday, some boy with a passion for femininity will be able to say, “Thank you.”

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
