I must admit that today’s post from Candace has caught me on the perfect day. I am 18 weeks out from a half marathon that I am entered for. This morning I woke up with no enthusiasm for my training. This post by Candace reminded me that every time I go for a training run is an opportunity to be dressed in my girliest running kit – both for me and for all the girls out there that don’t have the opportunity to dress girly today.
This has also made me realize something wonderful about working out regularly. We lose a few pounds and our body shape changes as a direct result of the exercise we do. This means that if you all join me in working out 5 or 6 times a week we will face the same problem in 2 months… Our workout clothes won’t fit us as they do now. That means one thing. It’s time to go shopping for new workout clothes – and in my case running kit. I’m thinking of a cute pink vest or T to go with new running shorts. Not to mention a racerback sports bra and running-specific panties from Puma or Under Armour.
What about you? What will your ideal workout outfit look like when you go shopping after working off the festive pounds? Share below. Hugs.

You are remarkable! You are so very special!! It takes a very brave man to admit what you portray with such confidence. You train hard and eat with discipline. You are no slouch in the gym and keep yourself well hydrated throughout the day. On top of that, you are a happy individual. You can’t imagine portraying yourself as anything less than a cute, sweet, perky gym bunny. Why, if you were a teenager, you’d probably be prime candidate for your school’s cheerleading squad. Can you imagine that? Pigtails, pleated skirts, Pom poms, and a brilliance beyond compare. Makes you want to travel back in time, doesn’t it? But now is the present and you are a gift to the world–a man adorned in feminine workout clothes: tight leggings to show off your sweet assets, a sports bra to girlify your swelling pecs, and the cutest pair of pink tennis shoes to encase your dainty feet with frosted nail polish. You have abolished your manly ways to the back of the closet. For that matter, your closet is like an explosion of rainbows and sunshine. You are a special breed of joy and happiness. You are the envy of all species. You are a gym bunny: fit, slim, girly, happy, and content to be one of a kind in a world of mundane excuses of existence. So, be at peace with who you are, never bending to gender norms but always blending the gender lines. That’s the gym bunny way!
You, my friend, are REMARKABLE
