Please Take Care of Your Girly Self

The caption today was created by Candace during the extended lockdowns that were part of the pandemic that we all struggled through. Even though that may seem like a distant memory for many of us, there is a lesson moving forward. There are so many of us that still live the same kind of lockdown internally where it feels as if there are massive barriers between the world and who we truly are as people.

I know that many of you cannot fully express and live the outward life of the girl that is inside you. At the same time, you can put on a bit of lip balm or some hand cream after you wash your hands. Even these tiny things will help validate the girl that lives within you.

Once you have done that, use your girly energy to express some kindness and compassion to those around you, and close to you – even if they don’t know or don’t understand your girly feelings. The lockdowns taught us that things can change in an instant. To misquote James Blunt: “Let there be no darkness in your heart.” A darkness that can, and does cloud your girly feelings.

I can relate from first-hand experience. A little over 3 months ago I was talking to someone close to me face-to-face, and they collapsed in front of me. I went from talking about something trivial to performing CPR in what felt like less than a minute. This is the main reason why I have not been creating much new content lately. Love those close to you even if they feel unworthy of your love. You might not get another chance to clear the darkness from your heart.

A big hug to each one of you and please take care of your girly self.

What a world we live in!  Right now, there are many many girly boys who don’t have a lick of time for fun and fantasy, for dreaming or for wishing.  That’s understandable.  You’re awesome.  Also, right now, I imagine that some girly boy is struggling, either in sickness, in isolation, financially, at a distance from someone special, etc.  Please don’t forget that as the world is concerned about people, it is also concerned about you.  Your girly passion does not exclude you from being a human who is worthy of compassion.

I don’t want to take up much of your time.  I know, not necessarily my strong suit!  But, here’s the deal: Be safe, my friends.  Be smart about your decisions.  And please please please, be true to you in all of your girliness, whether by mind, disposition, heart, or by dress.  Keep your feminine spirit alive.  Nothing could be worse than living through a world-wide issue like this virus, only to come out as someone less than who we are on inside.

Be Safe, Be Smart, Be Your Precious Girly Self!  I like you all that way!

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
