Oh To Be Happy!

Being girly makes me happy and I hope that it does for you too. There is hardly an article here on Pink Femme where we don’t mention something about doing what brings you happiness.

Yet, the realities of life are that we won’t be feeling bubbly happiness every second of every day. There will be days when we feel down for any number of reasons. Just because I am feeling low on a particular day does not suddenly mean that I must get rid of all the girliness in my life because I am sad.

Girliness doesn’t prevent sadness from ever entering my life. Knowing that I’m girly makes my sad days just that little bit lighter, and things seem to feel better that little bit sooner. Hugs

This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.

I just had a note from someone struggling with some self-doubts and has had some sad moments in his girly boy life, no doubt.  I don’t adhere to the idea that a person must be happy and put together all the time.  That’s a pipe dream.  It’s just not real.  the truth of it all is that we need sadness in our lives.  Have you ever watched “Inside Out”?  It might be a cartoon, but the message is very real.  We actually need sadness.

I would wish for contentment and joy in your life.  Neither anticipates happiness all the time, but both welcome fullness.  And that’s more in line with how we should wish to live each day in our girliness or in our boyishness.

With that said, I wish for you, and me too, that you’ll have plenty of happy days in girls clothing surrounded by friends who love on you for the girly boy that you are.

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
