I have always been girly. Flowing skirts and elegance is the style that I resonate with. Even when I’m out running on the trails I do my best to be as girly as I can.
It makes me happy when those around me find a way of expressing their own unique girly nature. I hope that the content here on Pink Femme helps you to find the kind of girliness that brings you joy as well.
This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.
I doubt that the caption I created this morning is wholly true with me. I can be quite boyish, and at times, manly too. Be that as it may, there is such a strong girly nature about me that even when I’m being manly, girliness is right on the surface begging to show herself, to be on display, to soften what macho guise I’m portraying.
On the flip side of that coin, it never fails that when I’m dressed to bring out my girliness–which doesn’t have to involve women’s clothing, by the way–there is a boyish, manly nature that tends to show itself. And that’s true no matter how much I let myself relax into being Candie.
I’ve learned to be content with who I am and what is my nature. It’s not something I can put on and take off. It’s not like multiple personalities (not to demean those who have that challenge). And it’s not like switching over to some forced identity for erotic sensations. I’m simply a man who is girly and a girly human who is also a man. It’s who I am.
Note: I’ve been sharing many captions from the archives lately and not sharing much by way of new content. I’m also not writing as much. I’m in crunch time with some work projects and it just doesn’t give me the time to really focus on this blog. I’ll still be around. I just won’t be posting much by way of new stuff. But enjoy the older captions.
Have a great girly Monday, my friends!
