Just Try It!

I am sure that every one of you has at some stage of your life been thinking about how it would feel to be more girly. Many of you have had the opportunity to try something girly and got to experience how that feels on the inside.

I know that there are those of you who are fortunate enough to be able to fully embrace girliness and live a life that expresses the true essence of who you are.

If any of you are still sitting on the fence, pondering whether being more girly is right for you, Candace, my Pink Femme girlfriends, and I have one piece of advice for you. Just try it! Do something today that will help you feel girly on the inside. It doesn’t have to be anything bold or anything that others can see. It can be completely hidden from those around you and still fill you with girly feelings.

This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.

I doubt that there would be anyone to read this who has never entertained the thought of being a femininely inclined male.  On the off chance that some boy who has no inclination for girliness comes across this, I want to encourage them to simply give it a try.  So, if that’s you, why not give it a go?  It might surprise you.

You might find a hobby, an interest, a release, or a sense of well-being that fills some void in your life.  You might discover a better way of viewing the world, especially of people.  Girliness might break down some barriers so that you can be more in tune with your true self.  It might free you from being held hostage by restrictive gender expectations.  It could be the very thing you’ve been missing and never knew you wanted.  Perhaps you need to feel soft textures, silk, or satin against your skin.  Maybe you just need to feel pretty for once rather than tough, handsome, or “manly”.  You never know unless you try.

Everybody tries something new at some point in their lives.  It’s within us to want something special for us–about us.  Girliness offers so much more than a sport, or a piece of tech, or something to own.  It’s not something that a person simply does or has in possession.  It’s what you can become.  It may sound strange, maybe scary, but once you try it, I think you’ll likely find a pathway to a better you.  And if not?  Then, simply return to your normal male life.  We girly boys can respect that in the same way we would want you to respect us.  So, YES, just try it.

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
