So much time in our lives these days is taken up by seriousness to the point where it can wear us down if we let it.
Whenever I feel things around me starting to get heavy, I make a point of doing something girly. It always lifts my spirits and makes me a lot more fun to be around.
This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.
I’m telling a little something on myself, here. I think I’m boring. lol. Seriously, I’m a pretty serious guy. Yes, I smile and laugh and enjoy life on my most manly of days. But I can also say with quite a bit of confidence, that when I’m girlier, every fun-loving bit of me is enhanced. Maybe it’s adrenaline. I’m not sure what it is, but I do know that I’m much more relaxed and lively when I have chances to let Candie shine.
How would it look if I was constantly living in the girliness I admire? Again, I’m not sure (insert broken record). But yes, when I’m able to put aside my “boy” constraints and simply be girly, be me, be more natural, I’m actually a fun“guy” (you can insert mushroom jokes here). I’m happier in girliness. I’m funnier in girliness. I’m also hornier (insert…nevermind). HA! Truthfully, I feel more free. I feel more open. I feel more me…and it’s oh so Candie-sweet.
I’m just rambling today. Maybe I’m feeling girlier and I’m just more chatty. I have a feeling that many of you are happier as well when you’re girly. Are you funnier when you’re girly? Are you more lively when you’re girlier? Are you crazier? How would you describe the difference in your disposition from when you’re constrained in societal’s box of manliness and when you’re free to be feminine?
Let’s share together. Either way, I wish you all a happy day of girliness and liberation from living in the shadows. Have fun, girlies!
