If Only I Could Get Lost

I know that the title of this post could be interpreted as coming from a negative mind-space, but that is not what I am referring to at all.

There are some girls for whom the ability to “pass” and present as female as possible is their entire focus. Often this leads to over-accessorizing and pushing their look too far. When I chatted with Dafni Coco of Dafni Girls makeover studio she told me that one of the things she helped new girls with was teaching them to scale back their look and that “less was more.”

Getting back to the theme of today’s caption, just about every single girl I have spoken to wishes they could have a girly vacation and be able to go somewhere they could live femme 24/7, with no worries about how they may or may not look to anyone else. Have a week or more where they could give the girl inside the freedom to express herself.

How would getting lost in your femme feelings and giving your inner girl her freedom look like for you? Hugs.

I wish it was possible to go somewhere and be lost for a week in complete, no-compromise, girliness.  No androgyny, no half-and-half, no second-guessing–nothing but femininity 24/7.  Let me be clear, it’s not a fantasy to pass as a girl.  I do not wish for a week with fake boobs, padded-out false hips, or fake wigs.  All of that could be nice as a disguise, but I’m not wanting a costume.  Being lost in girliness would mean “me being me”.  Trying to pass as some woman who I am not taking away from the concept of being a girly boy swept up in femininity.  Passing as a girl might be your cup of tea, but I prefer coffee and whiskey in a pink mug.  I clearly want to be “lost” in girliness – as myself.

As an example, I absolutely adore the shirt in this caption!  I wish I had it (if you know where I can get one, let me know).  I could see myself wearing it one day out of my week of being lost in girliness.  I’d pair it with some tattered boyfriend skinny jeans or cuffed denim capris.  Maybe a multi-colored woven belt would accent it well.  For shoes?  Maybe some Toms or white canvas shoes, some cute flip-flops, or some cork-sole wedges.  Even without forms, I would at least wear a sports bra, if not, a comfy t-shirt bra (a little padding would be okay).  Nails would be painted and some light makeup would be a fun addition.  Add in some cute jewelry like bracelets, rings, and a necklace.  Maybe an anklet would be cute too.  I know I wouldn’t look like a girl, but wow! I think it would be incredibly girly and cute for me.  And that would be only one daytime outing!  Can you imagine all of the fun a whole week of this would be?!

If only I could get lost in girliness for an extended period of time.  Now, that would be a week to remember!  with lots and lots of pictures, of course! 🙂

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
