Yesterday I received a message from a girl feeling frustrated that she couldn’t feel girly because of work and family limitations. My suggestion to her was very much in line with Candie’s blog post today. Maybe you are stuck with the same limitations in your life.
Next time you are at Walmart or somewhere similar, have a look at some women’s casualwear. Amazon has some great options too. See if you can find a top that looks like something you would normally wear in style/color. Combine that with your normal casual jeans and nobody will second guess what you are wearing… Just you will know that you are wearing a girly top and feel all the tingles. You can also wear a plain femme belt with your jeans. Again this is a subtle hint of girliness that you will feel all day.
It’s a case of doing something today and every day that helps you to feel girly on the inside even if you can’t show anything to the outside world. If you do have the opportunity of adding one small extra layer of girliness, do it for all your girly sisters out there who are stuck in drab clothing all day today. Hugs.

Today is one of those days that I thoroughly enjoy. It’s a day at the office, in public, running errands around town, while dressed in some girly clothes. To be fair, you should know that whereas there is not a stitch of men’s clothing on my body, only the closest observer would ever be able to tell. If you’ve followed me for any period of time, you know that I respect my wife’s boundaries as well as our livlihood. We can’t afford to have some unneeded scrutiny, especially now when we are down to one salary (my wife is in travel and you know how that works during a pandemic!).
Today, I have on my favorite Old Navy boot cut jeans over a sweet pair of lacy pink and black panties. The jeans are a little loose, but thanks to a cute belt from my wife’s side of the closet, it might keep my jeans from revealing the panties beneath. I chose to wear a gray workout shirt with cap sleeves, but no bra underneath. Sorry to disappoint, but I just wouldn’t be able to pull that off. Over the shirt is a loose fitting black hoodie I picked up in women’s wear at Walmart. It fits a little snug on the arms, but that’s what you get with a women’s cut on a boy–and thus, the reason for the capsleeves. The hoodie has a fairly deep V in the neck, which would be great if i had breasts. Its cut is just girly enough to give that hint that this is not a man’s hoodie. On my feet, over a pair of my wife’s wool socks, is a pair of cute saige color Sorel sneakers. I decided on a bracelet and necklace to feel like I had some accents, but again, nothing about it that screams “Woman!” Overall, the picture is plain, but for me, I feel less like a Joe and more like a Jane!
It’s always such a fun day. On one hand, it gives me the opportunity to be a little girly, even if I’m the only one who knows. On the other hand, it gives me hope and confidence to push the envelope more. The sad part is that I have limits. I don’t reckon that that will ever change for me, but I also have great hopes for other girly boys, both now, and especially in the future. It may be androgynous, but it’s my girly day. It makes me feel special. I hope you get to have those days too–and even more than I get to experience them.
I hope you all are having a great day. Cheers to you all!

I love the article and I haven’t been able to do this for many years but only in my head so today I start the 40 steps thank u for ur help
I do the same thing only a bit more daring. I go out shopping wearing red, silk panties with matching bra, taupe pantyhose, my pair of stretch, women’s jeans that leave about two inches of exposed, shaved, pantyhose covered ankle, leading to my white, women’s tennis shoes. I have on a woman’s low cut, long sleeve, pink, sweater, around my neck is my silver necklace with my name on it, “Joanne” to complete my outfit, I have a woman’s, body hugging, blue, hoodie. I have on black mascara, light eye shadow, I lightly darken my thin, arched, eyebrows with a brown eye pencil, my fingernails are polished with a light pink polish & I have sprayed myself with my wife’s favorite perfume. I love the looks I get from some of the women I encounter, priceless.
