I Don’t Care… I am Proud of You!

The journey of living your authentic girly life is often filled with obstacles at every turn.

It takes great courage to face all of those obstacles and to live your truth in spite of them.

Just like Candie, I am proud of you for being your true girly self. Hugs.

This post was created by the talented Candie Hart and originally appeared on her Tumblr blog. It is reproduced here with her kind permission. Be sure to check out more about Candie at the end of the post and give her some Pink Femme love.

I cannot say it enough, because I have doubts about how often you might hear it: I’m proud of you for being a girly boy.

I don’t care that I don’t know you.  I don’t care if you’re white, black, bronze, skinny, chubby, short, or tall.  I don’t care if this girly nature of yours is in the closet or blatantly in the open.  I don’t care if your sense of girliness is more fetish and fantasy than passion and reality.  I don’t care if you plan to transition or if you’re happy to be a male.  I don’t care if you like feminine things that I don’t.  I don’t care if you’re straight, gay, bi, or a wanna-be lesbian.  I don’t care if you’re a weekend crossdresser or a weekday panty wearer.  I don’t care if you look like a hefty lumberjack in a dress or a Greek athlete in a unitard.  I really don’t care.

What I do care about is that you are a special human being with emotions and character; that you believe that there is something phenomenally wonderful and unique about being a girly boy; that there is a deeply rooted passion for the girliness you keep stored away. What I care about is for you to know that I am so very proud of you for being feminine.  That might not mean much coming from a total stranger, yet I have to say it.  And whatever you do, don’t ever give up.  Especially, don’t give up on you.

Spread the love from your sweet, loving, proud, girly friend.

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
