Knowing the right way to shape your eyebrows can make the difference between unkempt, masculine-looking eyebrows, and fabulous feminine eyebrows.
Well-groomed, dainty and effeminate eyebrows can completely feminize your whole face, even before you have added a speck of makeup.
You can make your eyebrows more feminine while following the natural shape of your eyebrows and bone structure.
A Line Vertically Above Your Nostril Marks The Start Of Your Brow
Place an eyeliner pencil or brow pencil against the middle of your nostril. Align it straight up to your brow. Mark a small line with the pencil where it meets the brow, which is where your eyebrow should begin.
A Line From Your Nostril Passing The Outer Edge Of Your Eye Marks The End Of Your Brow
Pivot the pencil to align it from the same start point, passing the outside corner of your eye. Mark another small line with the pencil where it meets the brow, which is where your eyebrow should end.
A Line From Your Nostril Passing Over The Center Of Your Eye Marks Your Brow Arch
Pivot the pencil to align it from the same start point, passing over the center of your eye. Mark another small line with the pencil where it meets the brow. This will be the high point of your arch.
Trim The Top Edge Of Your Brow With Scissors
Brush your eyebrow hairs straight up with a spoolie brush. Click here for my article to learn exactly what a spoolie brush is.
Clip any long hairs that extend above your brow line with brow scissors. In a pinch, I have used nail scissors for this too.
Draw The Bottom Of Your Brow Linking The Start, Arch And End
Draw a line along the bottom edge of the fullest part of your eyebrow with your pencil. Start from the inner edge that you marked angling slightly up to the arch marking and then down to the endpoint.
The line that you have drawn should mimic a feminine eyebrow that has a gentle arch. Be sure that the lines drawn for each eye match up as a mirror image.
Pluck The Wayward Hairs Below Your Bottom Of Your Outline
Finally, pluck the eyebrow hairs that are below the bottom edge of the line you have drawn. It will be a good idea to use a magnifying mirror if you have one. Here is the detailed article that I wrote about how to pluck your eyebrows. Give it a read so that you can save yourself pain and mistakes.
Such a great guide, I bookmarked it, thank you, I’ve got a small issue with eyebrows !
