I know that it’s not always easy to feel confident, especially when you are going through major changes and everything seems so new. Whether you’re facing struggles at work or in your social life, feeling confident can pose a challenge, especially if you have a tendency to be self-critical.

How to be more confident as a girl? Do something each and every day that will challenge you to be a better woman than you were yesterday on some level of your life. Just 1% will be enough. That constant daily growth will give you the confidence to face your fears.

We all struggle with self-confidence from time to time in our lives. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t take back control and build up your confidence, one delicate step at a time.

Learning how to be a more confident girl can go a long way with improving your mood and your well-being. It can also help you feel better and allow you to trust your feminine instincts when making decisions.

Since a lack of confidence can hold you back in all aspects of your journey, let’s see how you can take action today to change that.

Follow along as I share 10 tips to help you learn how to be a more confident girl for a new and improved you.

Make Self-Care A Priority

A great way to build your confidence as a girl is to rely on a daily self-care routine.

Not only does self-care give you the feminine me-time you deserve, but it can also help you get the rest you need to refresh and revive your body and mind.

When you’re feeling your best, you’ll naturally feel more confident in yourself.

Don’t Compare Yourself To Others

The cliched saying that comparison is the thief of joy holds a lot of truth. It is something that I have advocated for years. Social media has made it easier than ever to compare ourselves to others, and sometimes it can be a hard habit to take a break.

Comparison is the thief of joy

Theodore Roosevelt

Believe it or not, for most of us comparisons tend to keep us focused on things you don’t like about ourselves. That is because most comparison is done from a space of feeling inferior.

Instead of investing your energy in others, turn comparison into inspiration. The person that you are comparing yourself to is likely many years further along their journey than you are.

Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle.

Jon Accuf

Pin the inspiration onto your Pinterest as we covered in step 8 of the 40-steps to femme program. Then put down your phone and focus on your accomplishments and how you can be the best version of yourself.

Every day I try to do just one thing that makes me better than yesterday. Try and do the same.

After all, without realizing it you are likely the inspiration for a girl contemplating the first steps of her journey.

Try A New Look

Sometimes all that is needed to boost your confidence is a new look.

If you think that it’s time to shake things up with a new hair color trend or makeup look, do that. After all, a change is as good as a holiday as it rejuvenates our energy.

Be True To Yourself

One of the easiest ways to build your confidence is when you are being true to yourself.

When you understanding who you are as a person on the inside and embracing your unique traits, you’ll see how valuable you are.

Here at Pink Femme, my goal is to provide you with what you need to discover and nurture your true inner self.

The result of being true to your inner nature will help build your confidence and allow you to show up as the best version of yourself.

Step Outside Of Your Comfort Zone

I know that stepping outside of your comfort zone can feel intimidating. That is why we call it a comfort zone. However, challenging it may be just the thing you need to boost your confidence.

To truly be confident, you’ll need to feel that you can cope in any situation you can think of even if it is not comfortable.

Make it a point every day to make a few changes like starting a conversation with someone new, showing off your singing chops at karaoke with friends, or switching things up in your makeup routine.

One challenge that I often give new girls who lack confidence and feel shy is to talk to the girl behind the makeup counter at the department store if she is not busy with lots of customers. You break out of your comfort zone by talking to someone new and learn more about makeup at the same time. What’s more, she will talk to you because it is her job to talk to potential customers.

If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.

As you challenge yourself more, you will feel your confidence grow over time.

Develop New Skills

Many people that I meet relate confidence to their skills or more to the point their belief in their lack of skills. If you need a confidence boost, growing your skillset is a great place to start.

Maybe you want to explore photography or learn how to cook a new dish? A great skill to learn is makeup, you might even become a makeup artist for your growing circle of girlfriends.

Start by taking some online classes, connecting with individuals who share your same interests, or picking up a new hobby. Not to mention, expanding your skills can also be a great way to step outside of your comfort zone.

Maintain A Strong Support System

I know that you build your confidence up from within you. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have positive and supportive people in your corner.

By spending time with those who support, encourage, and inspire you, it can do a lot to help lift your spirits and allow you to become more confident in yourself.

Remember that Pink Femme is part of your strong support system.

Have Self-Compassion

Throughout our lives, we all make mistakes. When we do, it is really easy to beat ourselves up. The trouble is that once we start beating ourselves up, we often don’t ever stop.

Doing this takes a massive toll on your confidence. Besides that it also robs you of the opportunity to learn from those mistakes so that you are less likely to repeat them.

Always remember to cut yourself some slack because there is no such thing as perfection. All you can do is try your best to move forward. Do something today that will make you a better person, even if that is accepting the mistakes you have made in the past as learning opportunities.

Face Self-Doubt

You may not like to admit it, but self-doubt can hold you back from so many things in life. You may probably be waiting on the right moment to face your fears without realizing that today is the right moment. Sometimes it’s best to just go for it before you start to talk yourself out of ever trying.

One day or day one. You decide

Paulo Coelho

Sure, it may very likely be scary, but taking that first step can help you build your confidence. The only way to truly get over your fears is to face them head-on.

So, do it and see what happens. You may even discover that you had nothing to fear at all, but you will never know until you take that first step.

Give Yourself A Pep Talk

I know, the idea of talking to yourself may seem weird, but it’s worth it. Reminding yourself of how amazing you are may be just what you need to feel more confident.

Whether you’re preparing for a work presentation, going out on a first date, or simply starting your morning routine, filling your mind with positive affirmations will instantly improve your mood and give you the confidence boost you need.

It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop.

Confucius

As you go through your day, give yourself a mental high-five every time you tick off a task that was on your to-do list. It will give you the motivation and confidence you need to move onto your next task even if it feels more challenging.
