Fall and winter are great seasons to be girly – especially for those who need to hide their girliness from the world. Chunky sweaters do a great job of hiding bra straps and leggings feel great under your jeans.
If you are lucky enough to be able to show your girliness more, then you have all the gorgeous fall/winter fabrics to choose from. Everything feels so soft against your skin. To me, it feels like I’m being wrapped in a cocoon of gentle soft femininity.
Enjoy the soft cuddles of girly fashion this season and remember to moisturize your skin more than during summer when you drink more water. Hugs.

I absolutely love this time of year! Granted, it’s been unseasonably warm, but I can feel the colder weather as it begins to move in. What I love about this time of year is layers of girly clothes. I relate so well to the picture above. I love sliding into a warm pair of leggings and a soft, feminine, sweater and curling up on a chair on our back porch, drinking a warm cup of coffee (preferably of the Irish sort; see below for recipe). Maybe even a flannel blanket. You just can’t do that during the heated months of summer and early fall. But for the early morning or late afternoon in the autumn, it’s such a pleasant feeling, especially on a lazy Saturday.
Do you know something else that is just wonderful? Being able to ditch the T-shirts for heavier clothing. For a boy who has to conceal his girliness, this means bras! Also, walking, hiking, or running in leggings is so doable. People just don’t think anything of it if a man is wearing them in cooler weather (unless they’re girly prints and colors). And then there are cute headbands to keep your ears warm while you’re outside–and girl’s gloves and scarfs too.
I could share a few other girly treats about this season, but I suppose you get the point. Fall is simply a great season to be girly. So, let me encourage you to enjoy the season. Embrace the festivities and weather with open arms. Let this be a time to enjoy casual, soft, warm, and feminine experiences. Enjoy curling up and cuddling up. Enjoy being cute and having gentle charm. Enjoy being you as the world is changing around you.
Much love to you
Candie
PS–I weighed in this morning at 203. It’s not a huge drop from 206, but I’ll take it, especially since my weekend diet didn’t really go according to plan and I threw out my back doing KB snatches early in the week. Anyway, I hope your weight-loss journey is going well. And be sure and drop me a line to let me know how it’s going for you.
PPS: While I’m at it, give this Irish Coffee alternative a try. It’s a great body warmer and it will soothe some anxiousness about being outside in your girly cozy outfits:
1 shot of Jameson or Tullamore DEW Irish Whiskey
¾ shot Irish Cream Liquor (I prefer McCormicks over Baileys for the $)
8 oz coffee (french press preferred).
a dash of nutmeg
Add the Irish Whiskey first in a pre-warmed cup, pour in the coffee, top it off with the Irish Cream, stir and then add a dash of nutmeg. Don’t stir in the nutmeg. Drink the coffee through the nutmeg to savor the spice.
I sometimes double the recipe for a 20oz Yeti–but definitely drink it slow. If you prefer some extra sweetness, a teaspoon or two of brown sugar should do the trick. It’s not the typical or recommended Irish Coffee, but it’s fantastic.
