An Hour

As Candace points out in her post, one hour is about 4% of your day. It’s not much, but it’s a start.

I had a girl come to me and say that her wife tolerates her girliness but limits her time to be girly as long as she does not take her girliness outside the house. She was asking me what she could do with just one hour of girly time if she was confined to her house.

After learning that she likes makeup and wants to learn how to do her makeup better I had a proposal. I suggested that she get a soft, silky “makeup” robe and use her hour to do a full face of makeup practicing all the techniques she learned in Pink Femme. Then do a proper facial cleanse.

If she had time left she could then do a quick, light, minimalist makeup application and finish by thoroughly cleaning her makeup with the proper cleansing tools.

Even if her wife only allowed her three sessions of girly time per week of one hour each, that would give her six makeup practice sessions each week. She could take selfies and track her progress as she became more skilled with her makeup.

After a couple of months, her wife became more accepting of her girliness as her inner happiness became more evident. Last week they went to get her ears pierced… together.

I’ll take whatever I can get.  Anything that I can possibly do to feel a little extra feminine, I’ll take it.  Some of us get more than that.  Some of us sneak it in for all day.  Some of us feel free to be open.  Whatever is the case, think about ONE hour of girliness.  I realize that doesn’t give much time for any prep work.  So, push that to the side.  That’s only about 4% of your day (not exact, but it’s close).  When you think about it like that, every one of us has the opportunity, the time, to live out our girliness without causing a huge kink in the chain of a day’s events.  There’s time for it.  If girliness is something that you are passionate about, you can find the time for it.  You just have to seize it.

Now, about that one hour.  If you had no limits for the space of an hour and you could be as girly as possible every single day for that hour, what would you do?

I stay in shape by trail running. When I am not writing posts to help you be as feminine as you can be, I work as a therapist.
