I know that many of you girls don’t have the opportunity to fully express your girliness. And, when you do, you sometimes feel “less than” because you dress up. The truth is that you are already girly at your core. When you express all of who you are it is impossible to be less than when you only express a portion of who you are. I’ve had messages from girls telling me how lucky I am to be able to live girly all the time, 24/7. I am aware that it is a privilege to be girly full-time – thanks to how I was born. That is why I make sure to be as girly and feminine as I can possibly be every waking moment. I add more layers of girliness for all those girls out there who can’t do anything right now. If you get an opportunity to be girly – use that opportunity both for you and the other girls who are stuck in drab clothes. The same applies to all of you girls who are also fortunate enough to be girly full-time. Be as feminine as possible as a way to carry the girly torch for all those sisters who can’t be girly today. If you are one of the unlucky ones who are stuck in drab clothing today, know that the rest of us are deliberately ramping up our girliness so that we can spread the girly feelings to you, no matter what you are wearing. One final point on this important topic – I need you to know and remember this. You are girly! Girly is who you are. It is how you carry yourself. Girly is how you breathe. If life circumstances force you into drab clothes, it doesn’t make you any less girly. If you are sitting down while reading this, sit up straight, legs together, as femininely as you can. The same goes if you are standing. You can practice your girly way of sitting, standing, and walking no matter what you are wearing – and that will help you to feel girly on the inside. There was a time when I would scroll through Tumblr and through the other social media giants and feel like I was “less than” because I wasn’t as “OUT” in my femininity as the few, the proud, the brave. It was one of the reasons I changed gears to a more positive message about being girly. I hate for people to feel “less than”. I’m thankful that such breast-beating seems to have subsided. The fact of the matter is that many males don’t have the opportunity within the confines of life, family, and society to be really open in public spaces. I want you to know that just because you don’t feel like you can portray yourself very girly in public, it doesn’t make you a coward. Be girly on your terms, in your time, and in your space. I’m actually proud to say that there is much about who I am in my feminine soul that is kept in the closet, locked up for personal reasons. I’m okay with that. For some, they aren’t okay with that and that is perfect for them. Congrats on their strength to push forward. But for me? I’m content. That doesn’t mean I don’t wish for more opportunities to be feminine and to express myself in that way. I do. But that also doesn’t make me “less than”.
