3 Liquid Lipstick Hacks You Need To Know

Liquid lipstick has many features that you and I love. You can get them in some intense pigment shades and they tend to have much greater staying power. However thanks to three simple hacks you can save space in your bag by carrying your liquid lipstick and use it for three different areas of makeup that are not normal lipstick-application.

These are the three liquid lipstick hacks you should learn:

  • Use Liquid Lipstick As A Long-Lasting Cream Blush Alternative
  • Use Liquid Lipstick To Contour
  • Use Liquid Lipstick As A Lip Liner

Let’s look at each of these hacks in detail so that you can see why you need liquid lipstick in your bag.

Use Liquid Lipstick As A Long-Lasting Cream Blush Alternative

If you need a quick solution and your favorite blush isn’t on hand, try using liquid lipstick instead.

Use a rosy shade that best suits your skin tone. I’ve used the L’Oreal Paris Brilliant Signature Shiny Lip Stain Lipstick line with good results.

The liquid lip stain is formulated to stay put all day while resisting transfer and bleeding, so you won’t have to worry about your emergency blush fading throughout the day.

Use the pro-sculpt applicator to apply a few dots of product onto your cheeks and then blend it out with a damp makeup blender. Make sure to dab and bounce the product into the skin for a seamless natural-looking finish.

Use Liquid Lipstick To Contour

Contouring is a valuable makeup technique that can enhance and temporarily transform your facial features. This makes it such a popular step in your makeup application process.

And similarly to your contour products, you can also use liquid lipstick to chisel and sculpt your face. Select your contour shade that is similar to the shade of contour that you usually use. I’ve been happy using the L’Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Lip Stain for contouring.

For the most natural-looking results, apply a little liquid lipstick to the back of your hand, instead of directly on the face, this will ensure that you use only a small amount of product. Then grab a damp makeup blender and dab the liquid lipstick across your forehead, cheeks, and jawline.

Use Liquid Lipstick As A Lip Liner

Lip liner is brilliant for contouring your lips and helps prevent your lipstick from bleeding.

If you don’t have a lip liner on hand, try using liquid lipstick as an alternative. Here again, I’ve used the L’Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Lip Stain. Its formula delivers high color impact with a lightweight matte finish. It has been a travel option I’ve used more than once when packing space has been limited.

You can use the unique precision applicator to shape and line your lips or use a thin lip brush for a more precise application.

How To Remove Liquid Lipstick

As I mentioned earlier, one of the benefits of using liquid lipstick is its staying power. The downside of that is not just anything will remove it at the end of the day.

To remove your liquid lipstick (no matter where on your face you’ve applied it) you will need to use micellar water, which is formulated to clean off the toughest of waterproof makeup products.

Just saturate a cotton pad with the liquid, hold the pad over the area for a few seconds, and then wipe gently.

Why not expand your knowledge even further by reading another makeup/beauty article here on Pink Femme. You can find them either via the menu at the top of the page or by clicking this link that will take you to the list of all the beauty articles.

When it comes to my choices for makeup and beauty products, I only use  L’Oréal Paris (Available on Amazon). I have really sensitive skin and never once have I had any negative reaction to any L’Oréal product.
